Monday I had jury duty, so I was off from work for the day. Well, get to the building, get called in with everyone else in the order that they wanted us and then get dismissed 5 minutes after with the reason that all the cases that were up for getting a jury that day settled out of court that day. So, I didn't get to at least see how the process of picking jurers was done. Yes, a bit dissappointed...all the trouble of getting to downtown, finding the building and room, waiting an hour in waiting room before they finally started calling people in and then told "sorry, don't need you anymore". Whatever!!!!
Anyway, onto the fun thing. On my way back to the car I called Scrith to ask if he wanted to go out to lunch. He said yes and after we figured out where I put my phone back in my purse and with a bit of more speed continued to walk to my car. Quick side note, I was wearing my long redwine colored velvet dress that is tight long sleeves and top that starts to flare and become flowy just past the hips. So, about 3/4 of the way to my car there's these gentlmen walking single file on the sidewalk going towards me. I would say they were in their late 30's-40's. I'm really bad with judging ages by looks. The lead was tall and carrying a frisbe. The second one was shorter and had a guitar case slung on his back. The third one was shortest and I don't remember if he was carrying something or not. So, I smiled and nodded to each as we passed each other, the middle one said "Hi, how you doing", I nodded and smiled and said "hi" and then continued to smile at the third gentleman. Just as I passed the third one I heard him say "wow!" just behind me. Suddenly my smile was even bigger and my step just got a bit lighter!!!! Not sure what triggered him to say that. Could have been what I was wearing...the attitude of "on a mission" walking...or my smiling cause I'm so happy that I'm gonna get lunch with my baby. Either way...I got a WOW!!!! :D :D :D :D
